NexStock-Unified

a unified media engine designed to bridge the gap between stock asset discovery and creative editing. It aggregates high-resolution footage and photography from global repositories while providing an integrated neural toolkit. Users can search across multiple providers, generate custom imagery via Latent Diffusion models, and perform automated background removal and color palette extraction—all within a single, high-performance interface.

Creative professionals waste hours jumping between multiple stock asset platforms — Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay, Getty — each with different search interfaces, download processes, and licensing terms. The cognitive overhead of switching contexts kills creative momentum. The challenge was to engineer a unified creative command center: a single, powerful interface that aggregates the world's best free stock assets and delivers them through one coherent search experience.

Architected a multi-source API aggregation layer that simultaneously queries multiple stock photography and videography APIs, normalizes their heterogeneous response schemas into a unified asset model, and renders them in a responsive, masonry-style grid. Implemented intelligent deduplication and relevance ranking on the client side. A built-in editing tool integration allows direct asset manipulation — cropping, filters, background removal — without leaving the platform. The entire system is built to be modular, making adding new API sources a trivial configuration change.

NexStock-Unified validated the "API as infrastructure" design paradigm. By treating third-party APIs as interchangeable data sources behind a normalized abstraction layer, the system became resilient to individual API outages and easy to extend. This architecture directly informed the design of data integration pipelines for enterprise clients, where aggregating data from 10+ disparate sources into a single, clean interface is a common and high-value requirement.
